Mumbai, February 2025: Sony SAB's highly anticipated mythological saga Veer Hanuman is
set to evoke devotion and take audiences on an unforgettable journey beginning 11th March.
Airing every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 PM on Sony SAB, the show will explore the
incredible tale of Lord Hanuman, with a powerful narrative and dynamic characters. Having
joined the stellar cast is the talented actor Mahir Pandhi, who is set to portray the contrasting
brothers - Bali and Sugriv.
In today's world, where many actors resort to various methods to achieve a lean appearance,
Mahir stands out for his unwavering dedication to his craft and his ability to bring authenticity to
his roles. He has committed to gaining weight to effectively portray the powerful brothers, Sugriv
and Bali. While Bali is celebrated for his incredible strength and dominance, Sugriv represents
resilience and loyalty—challenging Mahir to engage in extensive physical and emotional
preparation for these diverse characters.
Transforming for a role is no easy feat, and Mahir’s preparation speaks volumes of how
driven he is to achieve creative excellence on screen with these two starkly different
roles. Sharing his experience, Mahir reveals, "For this role, transforming my physique was a
challenge, but an incredibly rewarding one. To build muscle efficiently, I focused on compound
exercises like squats, deadlifts, shoulder presses, bench presses, and rows. Nutrition played a
huge role. I made sure to eat every few hours, loading up on carbs and good fats while ensuring
my body got enough calories to sustain the gains. One crucial factor that often gets overlooked
is sleep—getting at least 8-9 hours was essential for muscle recovery and growth. Now that
we’re filming in the outskirts of Gujarat, maintaining Bali’s look consistently will be an even
bigger challenge, but I’m fully committed to ensuring the character remains as impactful on
screen as envisioned.”
Stay tuned to witness the beginning of an epic journey as ‘Veer Hanuman’ launches on
11th March and will air every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 PM on Sony SAB.
