Mumbai, March 2025: Sony SAB is set to captivate audiences with its devotional epic Veer
Hanuman—a grand showcase of the legend of Lord Hanuman like never before! This heroic saga
delves into young Maruti’s extraordinary transformation into the revered Lord Hanuman as he
embarks on a journey of self-discovery and embraces his divine purpose. Premiering on March
11, Veer Hanuman will air Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM, bringing to life the lesser-known
tales of Lord Hanuman. Leading the cast is Aan Tiwari as the young Lord Hanuman, alongside
Arav Chowdharry as Kesari, Sayli Salunkhe as Anjani, and Mahir Pandhi in a dual role as Bali
and Sugreev.
In the first week of this mythological saga, Anjani Maata prepares to give birth to Lord Hanuman,
when a powerful volcano erupts. Just as the molten rock threatens her, it mysteriously halts mid-
air and begins to float—an undeniable sign that a divine soul is about to enter the world. The
kingdom of Kishkinda erupts in celebration, unaware of the looming danger of Bali.
Meanwhile, Bali is at the receiving end of a chilling prophecy that someone is coming to end his
reign, leading him to plot ways of eliminating the unborn child. Bali attempts to poison Anjani but
destiny has other plans. Lord Hanuman, an incarnation of Mahadev, absorbs the poison within
the womb, saving his mother even before his birth. However, Anjani, originally from Swarg Lok, is
called back to fulfill her celestial duty. Now, torn between her divine calling and the danger
looming over her newborn son, how will Anjani protect Lord Hanuman from the threats that lie
ahead?
Sayli Salunkhe who plays the role of Anjani in Veer Hanuman, said, "Bringing a child into the
world is the most profound experience for a mother, but imagine the heartbreak of being asked
to leave that child behind. My character’s journey in the show is deeply emotional—she
embraces the joy of giving birth to Lord Hanuman, only to face the pain of parting with him. As a
mother, her instinct is to protect and nurture, but destiny seems to have other plans. Portraying
this raw and intense emotion is a challenge that I have embraced. Veer Hanuman beautifully
captures the sacrifices a mother makes, and I hope audiences connect with Anjani’s love,
strength, and unwavering devotion to her son."
Tune in to Veer Hanuman, 11th March onwards - every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 PM, only
