Reflecting on her decision to relocate, the actress opens up that moving to Dubai has been a rewarding experience. Stepping away from the limelight and starting from scratch is humbling, which she added. The actress was constantly torn between her public persona and her desire to love a normal life. Moreover, she added, “While I’m still recognized as an actor in Dubai, it’s nice to be viewed more as a businesswoman”.

Erica’s production house and event Management Company are both shaping up well. It allows her to channel her creativity in exciting new ways. The media questioned if she was ever uncertain about relocation to another country. For that, she replied not at all, and she took a conscious break from television because most of the content was regressive. She couldn’t connect with it, so she felt it was the right time to step back and focus on something more fulfilling.

For the question “Has moving abroad resulted in fewer acting offers”? Fernandes replies that she always loved traveling. It takes just as long to fly from Dubai to Mumbai as it does to travel between Indian cities. Then, she revealed, “No, my move hasn’t changed the perception, nor has it discouraged people from reaching out. I’m still getting offers, especially in the OTT space, which she is keen on exploring”.
