Shakti Arora is one of the most popular television actors who is the grandson of actor-producer-director Chandrashekhar’s grandson. He is currently working in the serial Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as Ishaan Bhosale. It is one of the most loved and celebrated serials, and it keeps engaging the audience for the storyline. Besides, the actor recently had an interview with the Bombay Times, in which he opened up about a lot of things. Like, he added about his grandfather’s mistrust regarding his acting abilities. Also, he shared insights into nepotism in the television industry.
When talking about his grandfather, he is known for roles such as Ramayan, The Burning Train, etc. He even directed and produced a few movies. His father Naresh Kumar Arora also donates to the industry by working with CINTAA. However, the actor opened up that his family background never helped him to pave an easier path in the industry. He also clarified that he didn’t receive any special chances for them. Due to his grandfather’s connection, he didn’t grab anything for his acting career.
Additionally, Shakti said his grandfather wanted him to pursue an MBA and get a job instead of acting. He opens up that his grandfather doubted his acting abilities and told him that he couldn’t act. So the actor decided to prove himself and who started from scratch who taking on small roles earlier. When he did his first show as lead, his grandfather told him that Arora was a natural actor. Moreover, Shakti's grandfather told him to meet big producers, but he never recommended him to anyone. If coming to his talent, he is also a dancer who participated in reality shows including Nach Baliye 7 and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9.
