Four leading television actors discuss the quality of content on Indian television. They even talked about the competition it faces from digital platforms. Actor Harshad has been in the industry for nearly 17 years and says, ‘To get the opening rating is on me’. He shared his thanks for who has always been successful in that he said. However, after a point, it depends on the writing, TV is the writer’s medium if writing is not good, no one can do anything. Also, good content will eventually rake in the ratings, which he explained.
Shakthi Arora admits that he did try to make a move. He added he would say no to TV shows so that he could migrate to films or OTT, but he was only getting small roles. And every time he felt dejected, he could come back to television. Additionally, he said, it would accept me with open arms. So he feel jaha ke raja ho, wahi ke ban ke raho.
Nehha shared, that if you want to be taken seriously in one medium, you have to disassociate yourself from the current medium. With that, she added actors have to disassociate themselves from the current medium for a while. She said she doesn’t have the guts to move for an OTT at this point.
Dheeraj says, TV is going to be there forever, at least in our country, as we have an audience for all kinds of shows. Further, he speaks; we are the only platform providing entertainment almost seven days a week. Also, there is variety on TV – right from supernatural to realistic shows, which he says about it.
