Actor Priya Soni suffers heat stroke, faints while shooting in Goa

PANAJI: Bollywood actor Priya Soni who was shooting in Goa for an ad film on Thursday, suffered a stroke - caused by exertion and hot weather and fainted on the sets.

She was shooting at a resort in South Goa, her manager Sujeet Fernandes said. The exact location of the resort was undisclosed due to security reasons.

Priya was rushed to a local clinic where she is undergoing treatment. Doctors attending to her said that the stroke was caused by continuous exertion and hot weather - she was shooting continuously for nearly 7 hours without any rest break as her co-actor had to leave for Mumbai on the same day.

Priya has featured in more than 100 music videos, including Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, Bhojpuri and Hindi.

She recently shot for a Punjabi music video sung by a Canadian NRI rapper which will be released next month.

She has also done 4-5 South films, including Tamil and Malayalam projects.
