Mumbai, January 2025: Sony SAB's Shrimad Ramayan beautifully brings to life the
timeless story of Lord Ram (Sujay Reu) and Sita (Prachi Bansal). In a recent episode,
viewers saw Luv (Sourya Mandoriya) and Kush (Atharva Sharma) transform the
perspective of the people of Ayodhya and prove that women are just as capable as men.
Impressed by their actions, Lord Ram decided to reward them. Instead, Luv and Kush
reveal the fact that they are the sons of Lord Ram and Sita and request that Sita could
return to Ayodhya. But Shahastramukh Ravan (Praneet Bhatt) has plans to stop this from
happening.
In the upcoming episodes, viewers will witness the intense showdown where Lord Ram
and Shahastramukh Ravan face each other on the battlefield. Despite Ram’s immense
strength, he is unable to defeat Ravan, who is protected by a boon that only a woman
can end his life. Sita, sensing her husband is in danger, feels a strong urge to help. In a
divine moment, she changes into the fierce form of Maa Kali. As she steps onto the
battlefield, her powerful presence silences the chaos and fills Ravan with fear. The
audience will look forward to witnessing Sita’s on-screen transformation into Maa Kali,
symbolizing how a woman can be both gentle like Sita and powerful like Maa Kali,
embodying the dual forces of creation and destruction to restore justice.
Prachi Bansal, who plays the role of Sita in Shrimad Ramayan, said, " Sita is the perfect
balance of devotion and strength. She is the creator, a nurturer, and someone with an
unshakable will. Her love and loyalty towards Lord Ram are unmatched, but when
someone like Shahastramukh Ravan dares to threaten her husband, her anger
transforms her into a fierce force of nature. In that moment, she becomes Maa Kali, the
ultimate symbol of strength and righteousness, ready to fight for what is right and
restore balance. It’s inspiring to portray a character who shows that a woman can be
gentle and nurturing yet fearless and unstoppable when the time calls for it."
