Shaan Mishra who expresses his amazing acting skills in Maati Se Bandhi Dor shared his opinion about positive and negative roles. Shaan Mishra quoted that both the negative and positive characters are equally important in any story. He added that negative characters have the liberty to express various emotions while positive characters have certain limitations.
While Shaan Mishra played a negative character, he said it was liked by many household audiences. This is because positive characters have limitations and they are often moulded into specific archetypes. Whenever you are performing the negative characters, you don’t have such limitations and offer with lot of variations.
Shaan Mishra said that if there is no villain in the story, how the hero can shine, so every story needs a villain. Though people may hate the person who is portraying a negative character, they will also appreciate their performance. Shaan felt that it is quite common to have dialogues on Screen, but what eventually important is the performance and the impact it leaves in the hearts of the audience.
Generally, it is an unwritten fact that heroes need to prepare their eyes, body language and delivery to hold a place in the Audience's hearts. But Shaan prepares himself for emotions and performance control. It may take up to 2-3 takes for the perfect outcome, if you have done a lot of preparation and homework, you can expect beautiful results in a Single take. When he talks about performing scenes, he mentions that every actor should dig deep into the character, no matter how physical and emotional challenges are involved in the character.
