Actor Shekhar Suman recently spotted in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Daimond Bazaar OTT series. He garners a great round of applause for portraying the role of Zulfikar in the OTT series. Shekhar Suman has been a part of the entertainment industry since 1984 and has participated in many reality shows too. In an exclusive interview, Shekhar hinted that the iconic TV shows ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’ and ‘Movers & Shakers’ are going to return. Even he said, this time it will be on OTT platforms.
Shekhar Suman said, Yes, there is a thought of bringing the shows back. Revealing the reason, Shekhar shared there is a lot of pressure from the audience’s side, and wherever I go, people ask me, Why don’t you get Movers & Shakers back? However, we were going through some strange times where television took a backseat and OTT wasn’t into non-fiction. So, I felt like television was not the right place for Movers & Shakers.
Further, he continued, I just waited for the opportune moment, and I think now is the time to bring the show back. In fact, two of my iconic shows, ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’ and ‘Movers & Shakers’, are on the verge of development. However, it’s too early to talk about these shows, as they are at a nascent stage. The actor concluded that the show will surely return!
Actor Shekhar Suman rose to fame after appearing in the show Dekh Bhai Dekh. It is a sitcom series directed by Anand Mahendroo and produced by Jaya Bachchan that premiered on DD Metro in 1993. In Movers & Shakers, actor Suman is the host, and the show aired from 1997 to 2001.
