Handsome actor Viraf Phiroz Patel says staying away from television is not a conscious decision.
He expressed that offers after Naamkarann are not exciting! Read further to reveal how his life is
moving on.
Viraf is an actor well-known for his portrayal of unique roles in dramas like Teri Meri Love
Stories, Mahi Way, Ek Boond Ishq, and Kismat. The actor has kept him away from the small
screen for nearly 7 years now. He decided to explore films, OTT, and featured in many
blockbuster films, including Pathaan, Kutch Express, and the show Karmma Calling.
On revealing the break with the television industry, Viraf shared many interesting things. He
expressed that foraying into other mediums is not easy. While asking about the break, the Kismat
actor said it wasn’t a conscious decision to stay away from television, but the offers I got after
Naamkarann were not exciting. That’s why I tried my luck in different mediums and even
focused on writing.
Actor Patel shared that he practiced a lot of writing during the pandemic. Viraf shared that I
focused a lot on writing and getting to learn about the technical aspects of films and other shows.
I learned about scriptwriting, and I met Parthiv Gohil and Manasi Parekh. He also said I co-wrote
the Kutch Express, a Gujarati film that was my debut too.
Further, the actor revealed his interest in learning new things. Patel says I always wanted to do
different things, and the medium never mattered. However, it was difficult initially, and I don’t
believe the age-old myth that says TV actors can act in films. To be honest, I feel television
actors are well-trained and skilled enough to be a part of any web shows or films.
